Trip Introduction

Everest Base Camp tour by Helicopter is a great way to experience Mt.Everest in just one day. We begin our Helicopter tour from Kathmandu and fly towards the east to Lukla which is a beautiful Sherpa village. From here we fly over the Everest Base Camp which is one of the most popular trekking destinations in the world. From our helicopter, we also admire great views of the Khumbu Glacier which is ideally located between Mt. Everest and the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. Next, we stop at Kala Patthar for the grandest views of the world’s highest mountain and its neighboring Himalayas. Then we fly to Syangboche and spend around twenty minutes at a hotel for breakfast while also admiring the beautiful Himalayan vista. We fly back to Lukla for fueling and return to Kathmandu and end our amazing helicopter day tour of Everest. Outline Itinerary

• Kathmandu to Lukla
• Lukla to Everest Base Camp (flyover)
• Everest Base Camp to Kala Patthar for magnificent views of the Everest panorama
• Kala Patthar to Syangboche (with Everest and panoramic view)
• Syangboche to Lukla
• Lukla to Kathmandu

Important Note: Spending only around five minutes to ten minutes in Kala Patthar will prevent us from getting altitude sickness (AMS). Our helicopter will be on stand-by at Kalapathar, therefore, it is technically impossible to spend more than the allocated time.

Trip Details

Usually, early in the morning, a private vehicle will come to pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the airport in Kathmandu. Shortly after the departure formalities at the airport, the helicopter leaves for Lukla (the gateway to the Everest Base Camp). After refilling the fuel at Lukla, the helicopter heads towards the Everest Base Camp. The helicopter will either land at the Everest Base Camp, or Kala Patthar, depending upon the weather condition. At the base camp/Kala Patthar, the helicopter will only stop for 5 minutes. You can enjoy the surrounding view and take pictures quickly.  After enjoying the majestic view of Mt. Everest and other snow-capped peaks, the helicopter will now head to Syangboche for breakfast (30 minutes). The breakfast will be served at the Everest View Hotel. Along with the breakfast, you will once again get a chance to enjoy the beautiful Mt. Everest with its range. After breakfast, we will fly back to Lukla to refill the fuel required to get back to Kathmandu. After refilling the fuel at Lukla, we will now fly back to the airport in Kathmandu. From the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in a private car. For the rest of the day, you can enjoy your time buying momentous, having coffee, and chilling around the city.
