Mar 2022 Aiming adventure provided me with a wonderful experience while doing EBC trekking. Bikal and her team are always willing to answer any questions and offer a quality service. Thanks also to my guide Chiran and his brother, the porter, who were by my side during the journey. January 17, 2020 Bikal is such an excellent guide who came to our hotel to give us a comprehensive brief. We did a one-day helicopter tour, and he guided us perfectly like explaining the names of mountains and arranging things in a timely manner. Super recommended!!! What a trip!!!!-March 18,2018 I cant recommend Aiming Adventures highly enough. They were so professional and really cared about us having the most awesome experience. Climbing to Everest Base Camp was one of the most incredible experiences of my life and Im so glad I went with Bikal and his team. Thanks a million!!!! kiwigroenie Sydney, Australia Trekking to Everest Base Camp is the most popular trekking destinations in Nepal. Tourists from all over the world visit Nepal for gaining the life experience of being closest to the world’s highest peak. The trek to EBC not only offers the chance to get closest to the Mount Everest, rather there is the number of other surrounding peaks which makes the trip even more exciting and fun-filled. This 12-day trek is quite special than other treks to EBC as we have added the flight back to Kathmandu in a helicopter. This offers a great chance to view the wide Himalayan ranges at a glance. In addition, if you have limited time to spend your vacation and still want to take a trip to EBC then this trek can save your time. Also, you will not have to tire your body all the way back. The journey to EBC gives you a chance to get the number of unique experiences. The enchanting view of many mountain peaks seen from up close is the most thrilling experience you will get on this trek. Mount Everest, Mount Makalu, Mount Cho-yu and many others greet you along the way. You will also be exploring the Sagarmatha National Park area, the UNESCO world heritage site, where rare species of flora and fauna can be found. The walk throughout the trek will be extra rewarding and worth all the effort. You will be going through rocky and narrow mountain trails with many uphill and downhill walk. There are clustered and uniquely built human settlement areas along the way. You will also be visiting Buddhist monasteries and Gompas along and get chance to observe Buddhist culture and lifestyle from close. The feeling you will get when you reach the Everest Base Camp is the most thrilling one. You will also hike up to Kala Patthar which offers the closest view of Mount Everest and other surrounding peaks. Then we will have a helicopter ready for you and you will get a leisure flight to Kathmandu enjoying the last view of the Himalayas and the landscapes. Trip Highlights We acknowledge that you are joining us for the adventure trip in Himalayan region of Nepal, where weather conditions, health, and fitness of the member or unexpected natural disaster can compel us to change the itinerary and if so you have to understand it but we would try our best to keep the suggested itinerary as per the original schedule. Your safety and satisfaction of the trip is our paramount concern while traveling with Aiming Adventure and we ensure you our best team, logistics, professional services to make sure that you would have an amazing trip of the lifetime with us. Also note that our trip leader deserved the final decision if the trip has to amend, change the route or cancel due to the extreme conditions for the safety precaution. However, he will try his best to ensure that the trip runs according to the stated plan but be prepared for flexibility if necessary. Aiming Adventure suggests you get travel insurance that covers all the added expenses that might result due to various health issues, injuries or accidents (together with the air ambulance, helicopter rescue, and other treatment costs). Also, make sure that your insurance policy covers all the extra activities that you are planning to accomplish throughout your stay in Nepal. In addition to this, the policy should also cover death, misplaced luggage, theft and liability, cancellations, medical treatment (counting hospital charges, cost of the medicine, doctor’s fees) as well as repatriation cost. Most of the days while trekking in Nepal takes you above an altitude of 3000m, it is kindly requested to ensure that your insurance policy covers treks that go over 4000m. Buying insurance is highly recommended. Trekking in Nepal is physically tougher in some of the regions. However, no previous trekking experienced is required but if you have, it is a great plus point. Trekking in Nepal is a non-technical walk. The highest height you would reach on your trip is 5,550m (Kalapatthar) from sea level. The walk involves lots of ups and downhill takes you through local villages, farming lands, terraces, and riverside but as long as you have a strength of walking for 4 to 6 hours a day, you are qualified for the trek. However, you should be having moderate health and fitness. We strongly suggest travelers consult with your medical doctor before traveling and do the regular checkup of your health and report us while booking a trip with us. A part of the health and fitness, the participant must be having a positive attitude and strong determination for the successful trip. AMS (acute mountain sickness) is a serious issue. It is the result of the failure of the body to adapt to high altitudes and can affect anyone, regardless of age or fitness. It usually occurs above 2,500m and the likelihood of being affected increases as you ascend. The way to reduce the effects of altitude is to ascend slowly, 300 meters per day above 3,000 meters until you have acclimatized. Poor acclimatization results in a headache, nausea, sleeplessness, difficulty breathing and swelling of fingers and glands. The only cure for AMS is to descend to a lower altitude and your guide’s decision on this matter is final. Although our routes are carefully planned to allow for proper acclimatization you may feel some effects of altitude for the first few days or at higher altitudes. Breathlessness, lethargy and mild headaches are not uncommon and generally decrease as your body adjusts. Maintaining adequate fluid intake is essential. Please advise your guide if you feel more severe symptoms and do not medicate yourself without discussing it with them first. We then cross the suspension bridge and reach Thadokoshi. We continue walking along the ridge of Dudh Koshi river. There are few lodges around the area. The trail further takes us to Ghat and from there towards the sacred Buddhist site. Here we find the colourful prayer flags decorating the mani walls and Chortens. We continue following the trail heading towards Phakding enjoying the views around. We see Mount Khumbila standing high and smiling in the background. Finally, we reach Phakding. There are quite a number of lodges and guesthouses around the area. We will spend the night there. We leave Phakding and head towards Namche Bazaar alongside the Dudh Koshi river. The walk ahead takes us to a small human settlement area called Jorsalle. We then climb through the forest area and cross the suspension bridge. From here the trail is quite tough and mostly we will be climbing uphill through pine forest. We might get the first glimpse of Mount Everest when climbing through the stone steps. We then finally reach Namche Bazaar. It is a beautiful Sherpa village from where the beautiful sight of Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse can be viewed. We will spend the night at a lodge in Namche Bazaar. Today we will be spending our day strolling around and exploring the village of Namche Bazar. We will leave Namche Bazaar and carry on with our walk for the day. We begin the day’s trip by walking towards Sanasa. Upon reaching Sanasa we come to a junction where the trail separates to Gokyo valley and Everest Base Camp. We catch the trail to Everest Base Camp and move ahead. The walk ahead will bring us to Phunki Thanga. There, we will cross the bridge and follow the trail leading us to Tengboche Monastery. It is one of the largest monasteries in the Khumbu region and is also rich in historical artifacts with the unique design. We will explore the monastery, meet the monks and head towards Deboche. We will spend our night at the hotel in Deboche. We get ready to continue our trek like other days and start the walk early in the morning. The trek for the day starts with the walk up ahead towards Pangboche. We will take rest at Pangboche for a short time, taking to the natural beauty around. After that, we will hike up till Somare. Along the trail, we will come across the number of Chhortens, gompas and stunning views of towering peaks. The walk is made more memorable by the exotic view of Mount Ama Dablam and other peaks around. We will then cross the bridge and leave Somare and walk towards Orsho. We will have to walk through the gradual trail. From the top, we will then get down on the other side. The walk will ultimately bring us to Pheriche. We will stay for the night at Pheriche. We will add one more day to our trip for the purpose of acclimatization. The gradual increase in height as we move further ahead makes it a necessity to stay a day for getting used to with the altitude. We will go on a short walk up the ridge. We can get the beautiful view of mountain ranges around. We will spend rest of the day walking leisurely around Pheriche, hike up to the view-point and at the evening giving rest to our body and gaining enough strength for the trek tomorrow. We will spend the night at Pheriche today as well. After quick breakfast, we will get on with our trek for the day and head towards Lobuche. We will start with the walk uphill and then shortly reach Dughla. We will then come across a bridge. Crossing the bridge we will continue our walk ahead to Khumbu Glacier. We will encounter memorials built in reverence of Sherpas who lost their lives on Mount Everest glacier. The walk continues until to the Lobuche and we will stop there. We will then get ready for the dinner and night’s sleep at Lobuche. We will start our trek for today with a walk through lots of small rocky trail. The altitude increases more. There are close to no vegetation around the area. We walk further towards Gorak Shep. Upon reaching Gorak Shep we take rest for some time and again continue our walk ahead. We will be reaching the Everest Base Camp today. We pass through Gorak Shep Lake on the way. There is also an Indian Army memorial built in memory of deceased army. The walk gets tougher today. The gigantic mountainous beauty makes us feeling refreshed all along the way. We then finally reach the Everest Base Camp. There are white beauties on all sides. The scene is beyond explanation. We see many trekkers camping along the base camp area. We spend some time at the base camp enjoying the view and taking pictures. We will then return to Gork Shep for our night’s stay. Today we will go on a hike to Kala Patthar. From the top of Kala Patthar, the closest view of Mount Everest can be visible. We start our hike early in the morning so that we can enjoy the sunrise view from the top. The summit is decorated with the colourful prayer flags. Mount Pumori stands high and up close. The closest panoramic view of Mount Everest, Lobuche, Mount Nuptse, Mount Lhotse and many others gives the most enjoyable and exciting feeling. This is the point that offers the most amazing view of mountains in the entire trekking experience. After spending some time enjoying the 360° view of mountains from the top we will ack to the Gorakshep by the time our helicopter will be ready to fly back to Kathmandu. We will get a helicopter ready for your flight to Kathmandu. You will get to enjoy the mountain flight on the way back to Kathmandu. Today is your last day at Kathmandu. We offer to drop you at the Tribhuvan International Airport. If your flight is scheduled in the evening, you can visit some places around Kathmandu. Spring: - (March, April, May) - Best warmest time to trek. Rhododendron flowers in bloom- excellent trails and clear skies, best visibility. Good Temperature, warmest weather of the year.
Autumn: - (Mid-September, October, and November) - Excellent trails, clear blue skies, best visibility, neither too hot nor too cold time. This is another best time to trek.
Winter Months: - (December, January, and February) are also good, but it’s obviously colder than other times. You have to be prepared for this. It is up to you to plan this trek at this cold time or not.
Summer: - Monsoon, so rain and visibility can be a big issue (from Mid-June, July, and August). We do not suggest you this time for the trek. What to bring?
