Choosing your adventure
Can I trek in the Himalayas even if I haven’t done any before?
Absolutely, in fact, it's a great place to start. As part of our job, one of the most important things we do is ascertain your experience and ambitions, and find the trek to best match these. However hard or easy you'd like it, however much or little experience you have, we have the perfect trek for you.
What kind of hotel do you arrange for us?
In Kathmandu, we provide the tourist standard hotel decorated by the beautiful garden with 24 hours running the hot shower and WIFI facilities. If you are looking for more luxury hotel we can arrange upon your request but the price may there.
I’m a single women traveler is it safe?
Yes, it is safe to travel and to do trek as a single female traveler with us. We are more responsible for this matter and we ensure all security and safety for individual women.
Do you arrange private trip?
Yes, we do arrange upon your request and interest.
Can I organize my own private group?
Yes, you can organize your private group for any activities like trekking, tour, climbing, volunteering. We would be happy to develop a program to suit your travel interest.
How safe is it?
Your well-being is our top priority on all trips. While our operations team frequently reviews every aspect of your adventure and the regions visited, we also receive constant updates provided by our local partners and Government Travel warnings and plan our operations accordingly. Can I switch to more luxurious accommodation?
Aiming Adventure accommodates its guests in a tourist standard hotel and the best lodges/guest houses/Homestays/tea houses, during the trek. However, if you are looking for more luxuries, you definitely have the option to ask for more luxurious accommodations, but extra charges will be applicable.
How much deposit is required to confirm the booking?
Any trip within the territory of Nepal requires you to deposit 20% of the total trip cost. However, for trips to Tibet and Bhutan, you need the make the deposit of 50% of the total trip cost.
Are Tips Included in my Price?
Tips are not included in the tour cost. Tipping is a personal thing, do not worry about how much, or when, to tip. Tipping guidelines are provided for certain destinations in our pre-departure information upon booking, however, the best advice will be provided by your tour leader.
What if I could not complete this trek?
No refund will be made by the company to the customers, who voluntarily leave the trip for any reason after the trip has begun. However, refunds will be at the discretion of the company, if for any reason the customer is forced to leave the trip. No refunds will be made by the company for accommodations, transportations, sightseeing, meals or any other services not utilized by the customer.
What currency do you accept?
Although we accept all major currencies, we prefer you make the payment in USD. However, if it is not feasible for you to pay in USD, then we accept your currency, but the value of your currency should be equivalent to the value of the USD of the day you decide to make the payment because exchange rates are flexible.
What is the exchange rate in Nepal?
The exchange rate is fixed by the Nepal Reserve Bank. The different day has the different rate.
Which is the best time for trekking in Nepal?
From mid of the September-mid of December and March to May is the best time to travel Nepal. However, you can do it anytime throughout the year.
How to book the trip with this company?
Once you finalize which trip you want to do than fill up the form then we will email you. As per our booking policy have to be made 20% deposit of the total amount.
Before your departure
Do your tour include international fairs?
Our trips do not include international airfares, and Nepal arrival Visa fees.
What should I bring?
Along with warm clothes, you will also need other equipment for the sufficient protection of your body.
Below is the list of necessary items that you need to pack before commencing your trek.
Head- Hat (with a wide brim), Sunglasses (with UV protection), Sunscreen lotion and Lip balm.
Upper body- T-shirts (2), light and expedition weight thermal tops, Fleece jacket and pullover, Fleece wind-stopper jacket (Optional), waterproof (preferably breathable fabric) shell jacket, down vest/jacket (included)
Hands - Lightweight gloves, heavy-weight gloves/mittens with a waterproof outer shell
Lower body - Underwear (4), hiking shorts (2), lightweight cotton long pants, light and expedition weight thermal bottoms, Fleece or wool pants, waterproof (preferably breathable fabric) shell pants
Feet - Thin, light-wear inner socks (4), thick, warm wool hiking socks (4), hiking boots with spare laces, camp shoes (sneakers and/or sandals), gaiters (only for winter)
Accessories - Sleeping bag rated to zero degrees F (included), headlamp with spare bulb and batteries, small padlock or combination lock, basic first aid kit, large plastic bags (for keeping items dry inside trek bag), day pack, water bottles (2), hiking pole/walking sticks, small ear plugs
Toiletries - Soap, shampoo, toothbrush, small wash towel
Extras- Cameras with extra batteries and cards, binoculars, light balaclava or warm fleece hat, reading books, trip map/guidebook, journal & pen, iPod & travel games (like cards, chess, and backgammon)
Do I need to book extra nights’ accommodation for before and after adventure?
Most of our trips include accommodation in the city and mountain. However, if you would like to stay extra nights in the city we can book for you upon your request.
On your Arrival
Is it easy to get Nepal Visa?
Yes, it is very easy to get a visa upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu. If you are getting into Nepal from India border by overland, you can get from the Immigration office at the border. We have many open borders, you can enter through any.
What do I have to have to get Visa?
You have to have six months valid passport and passport size photograph. The fee may vary upon your length of stay. $25 for 14 days, $40 for one month and $100 for two months. If you want to apply from your place, please just visit Nepalese embassy there.
Does your company provide us pick up facility?
Aiming Adventure gives utmost priority to the comfort of all our guests and provides hassle-free services. Yes, we do provide the pickup facility from the Tribhuvan International Airport to the hotel. You just have to find your nameplate at your arrival gate. Our company representative will be waiting for you.
How can I pay the remaining amount?
You can pay the remaining amount upon your arrival in Kathmandu, before departing for the trip destination. The amount should be paid in cash.
On your adventure
How is accommodation while on a trek?
There are basic accommodations available but with the clean and comfortable mattresses. The bathroom will be shared. In the evening time, the dining hall will be heated by the chimney where you are offered to sit around. For the night each blanket will be provided. Some tea houses have a private bathroom with hot water facility.
How often will I have the shower on the mountain?
Generally, 3-4 nights proper hot shower will be provided. Some places provide the bucket of hot water upon your request. However, shower on the high altitude doesn’t seem essential in our experience.
How about the food while on a trek?
We would like to suggest to be vegetarian while on a trek and try Nepali cousin which give good energy. There is the menu in the tea houses. You can pick up whatever you would like to. They serve Nepali, Indian and continental food. Good to have a dinner and breakfast at the same tea house where you will stay.
Do I have to carry my bag myself?
Our company will provide you the duffel bag to put your thing while on a trek. We provide you a strong porter will carry your duffel bags and walk with you. You just carry your day bag where you put your valuable things like Camera, batteries, snacks, sunglass, which you may use during the day.
How is communication facilities on the trek?
Most of the places have WIFI and telephone facilities. Our guides also will have a cell phone so that if you want to text/call at your home or pass messages to the friends we provide if you need it.
Does my guide speak English?
Yes, your guide speaks English fluently. You will not have any communication problem while on a trek.
Can I hire only guide or porter from your company?
Yes, we provide you that facility. But price may vary in the different regions like regular trekking or remote and restricted area. Insurance of the guide and porter have included in your price also.
What is the maximum weight the porter can carry?
Usually, the porter carries 30 kg while on a trek. We assign 1 porter for 2 clients.
Do you provide trekking gears?
We just provide you sleeping bag and down jacket (to be returned after the trip complication). Please bring your own gears if you have otherwise you can buy here in Nepal. They are comparatively cheaper than your hometown.
Can I bring my medication with me?
Yes, and make sure to bring prescriptions and the medications in its original containers to avoid custom inspection hassle.
What kind of Weather can we expect during trekking?
Weather in the mountains is very difficult to predict. At night it is generally cooler the days are warm. Winter (January and February) will be colder but the days can be quite beautiful and warm if the sun is out. There will be a bit of snow during the month of January, February, and December. It is also important to make sure that you can stay warm and dry in just about any conditions.
Do you provide drinking water while on a trek?
We provide you medicated proof safe drinking water as much as you need but you’ve to have own bottle. We do not suggest you buy mineral water in the mountain because it is costly.
